Job Description

Classified Ad Advertising Sales Representative will acquire and bring new local/national/international accounts on-board. Incumbents should be authorized to work for any employer in the US.


Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Proactively sell services to gain new business through prospecting, cold-calling, networking and generating leads and referrals.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate classified solutions with regard to price plans and other enhanced services.
  • Negotiate pricing and large enterprise contracts.
  • Stay abreast of ongoing market trends and general developments to close on accounts.
  • Provide web-based training for new customers and enable a smooth transition to the Support team.
  • Continuously update knowledge of classified ad services, industry trends and the competitive dynamics of the marketplace.


Functional & Technical Skills

  • Professional selling, prospecting and account management skills
  • Dynamic negotiation skills and closing experience
  • Proficiency in windows-based software programs (Word, Excel)
  • Experience using CRM tools preferred

 

Experience

  • 3 years sales experience
  • 2 years experience in Classified Ad sales
  • 1 year experience in Cold-calling
  • Sales experience in Enterprise-level Accounts preferred


Competencies & Plusses

  • Ability to absorb technical knowledge
  • Success in a commissioned environment
  • Executive contacts within Fortune 1000 companies preferred


Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred


Travel Requirements

  • Some travel if willing to sell to local clients
  • Work from anywhere over the email/phone/fax for national/international clients
